An MSNBC article by Ja’han Jones begins,
“I’m old enough to remember when the GOP railed against the purported ‘imperial presidency’ of Barack Obama — how dare that tyrant try to give Americans health care! — so I never miss an opportunity to highlight Republicans’ hypocrisy as they’ve prostrated themselves to Donald Trump and seemingly tried to march the country into a dictatorship.”
This quote is enough for my purposes here. The rest of the article is about giving Trump unchecked control over the federal budget, which the Constitution says is a congressional responsibility; you can read it here, if you’re curious about what they’re up to.
This posting is simply about their general hypocrisy. The only point I wish to make here is that Republicans are hypocritical about everything. You name it, elections, impeachments, judicial appointments, if they criticize Democrats for it, they’re doing it themselves.
And, according to some “X” posters, the GOP’s new Lord and Master, Elon Musk, is just as hypocritical as they are (see story here).
