Is a woman’s vote any of her husband’s business?

By now you may have heard about the Harris wink-wink campaign ad (watch it below). In the voice-over actress Julia Roberts says, “In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want. And no one will ever know.”

The Hill reports here that Republicans are having a conniption. They have “responded to the video with outrage, with some claiming that a wife lying about her vote is as bad as an affair.”

If you want proof that Republican men want to exert total control over women, there it is, staring you in the face.

Charlie Kirk, a rightwing agitator who’s never had a real job, and who married a Miss Arizona, opined that “a husband working hard to afford his wife’s lifestyle, and then [lying] to her husband about whom she backed would amount to undermining her husband.” (Watch him, and Fox‘s Jesse Watters, fulminate here.)

This from a guy who doesn’t know what work is. Most of us don’t have beauty-queen wives to keep in designer purses and shoes. The typical wife has a job and helps support her family, out of financial necessity, which may be part of the reason why so many women don’t vote for the party that’s against working people.

It’s a felony to fill out someone else’s ballot, or coerce them to vote a certain way. What Jesse Watters, Charlie Kirk, and their ilk are saying implies that’s what they want to do, and is how they think all red-hatted chauvinists should treat their womenfolk.

But that’s breaking the law, so shouldn’t we lock them up? Nah, let’s just laugh at them along with their wives behind their backs.

These dudes should be happy their better halves don’t go further and say, “Sorry, hun, no sex tonight or for a long, long while. I’m not in the mood.”  🤡🤣😂🤠🐰 😹
