Mark Robinson (photo, left) wasn’t going to win the 2024 election for North Carolina governor anyway. He was under 40% in many recent polls.
Now, his fellow Republicans are calling on him to drop out, and the Trump campaign has told him he’s not welcome at their rallies.
This comes on the heels of a bombshell report the already-controversial candidate, known for incendiary comments that included calling civil rights leader MLK Jr. a “commie bastard,” patronized a pornography website’s message board between 2008 and 2012.
Among his posts, he called himself a “black Nazi” and “perv” (for pervert), and “expressed support for reinstating slavery,” CNN reported on Thursday, September 18, 2024 (read story here), adding that many of his comments on the “Nude Africa” message board “were gratuitously sexual and lewd in nature.”
Robinson, currently North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, is denying everything and says he won’t drop out. But Wikipedia reports (here) he has canceled campaign events.
