A Florida lawyer is being investigated for voting fraud after telling a Republican group in his hometown he’s going to vote in the Georgia senate elections using his brother’s address and encouraged them to do the same.
The lawyer, Bill Price (photo, left), lives in the Florida panhandle near the Georgia state line, but as a Florida resident, he’s not eligible to vote in Georgia elections. His brother lives in northern Georgia, far from the state line. He told listeners to join him at his brother’s house and use that address to vote in Georgia’s upcoming Senate elections.
In the video below, Price almost makes ridiculous claims about what the Democrats will do if they win Senate control, saying they will turn America into “a Venezuela” and “come for your property.”
Price now claims he was “joking,” but according to an Atlanta TV journalist, a local elections board has confirmed that Price “did, in fact, register to vote at his brother’s address and swore in ‘an affidavit that he was a Georgia resident and eligible to vote.'” Read story here and here, and watch video below.

This is due to the silliness of the Georgia system. Other southern states have similar rules. One wonders if this is tainted by slavery or reconstruction, in which case why are Democrats so willingly participating? Is it because it is to their advantage to do so? It is the only game in town. It is a weakness of the system that only voters who participated in the November 2nd federal election or registered prior are the only folks who can participate.
Of course there is a question of equal treatment. It is a constitutional thing scholars and lawyers get all wrapped up about. Why are the Republican candidates going along, and not insisting they won, or the Presidential race needs to be treated the same way with a runoff until a candidate there gets over 50% of the state.
Meanwhile all you southern plantation owners move to Georgia for a bit. Enjoy the goobers peas. Mint juleps. The joys of Atlanta. All them southern charms. Get with family and VOTE and head home and reestablish your residency. And you all come back now you here. (And you Georgians come on up to Alabama and South Carolina and sit a spell when we gots ourselves a possum election.)
He committed a crime and urged others to do the same. That’s his doing alone, Georgia isn’t to blame, and there’s nothing silly about it. What is wrong with you?
