But not instantly. You’ve gotta wait 10 minutes.
“Pine-Sol’s original cleaner has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency … [to] kill the coronavirus on frequently used surfaces,” CNN reported on Sunday, September 20, 2020, but added, “the company said customers should apply full-strength Pine-Sol with a clean sponge or cloth on a surface, wait 10 minutes, then rinse.” Read story here.
Pine-Sol is made by Clorox, which “says it will continue to experience a shortage of its wipes and other products into 2021.” (Disclosure: I don’t work for Clorox or own their stock, and don’t benefit from sales of their products; like everything else that protects against Covid-19, you probably can’t get it anyway.)
CNN also noted, “The EPA says it’s important to follow instructions on the disinfectants’ labels.” Duh, when nothing else works, read the instructions. Probably should also have a warning label that says,
“NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ENEMAS NO MATTER WHAT TRUMP SAYS.”
And good old soap and water and or alcohol works. Not sure if either are instant killers of Corvid 19, so it should not be too amazing that pine-sol works.
