Faced with a challenge from his own party not seen since McCarthy and Bobby Kennedy challenged Lyndon Johnson, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has expressed a desire to change the debate process before President Romney and his Republican challengers meet in debate.
“We don’t want a whole lot of 23 debate rounds like we’ve had before,” Priebus said in August. The RNC has voted to exclude CNN and NBC from the debates, leaving the floor to fair and balanced Fox and .selected local news papers from the debate cities in red states and Iowa.
