So obsessed is Gov. Ron DeSantis with banishing gay people to non-person status that rainbows are now illegal in and near Florida schools.
Florida teachers also have to report gay students to the political police for being gay.
“Teachers in Orange County, Florida are being told to scrape rainbow stickers off doors and windows, take photos of their families off their desks if they have a same-sex spouse, and are being directed to report if a student comes out as LGBTQ, as Governor Ron DeSantis’ Don’t Say Gay law goes into effect July 1,” Raw Story reported on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 (read story here).
I can’t prove DeSantis hates gays. He might not. Maybe he doesn’t and is just cynically pandering to people who do, like the preachers who want to kill them all (see, e.g., article here), in a bid to get the hate vote when he runs for president.
Why does he want to be president? Why, so he can ban rainbows from all 50 states and D.C.
