Jared Diamond would say these people are all members of the elite class, or their immediate supporters. Who will most likely not notice until after the last tree on the island is cut down, and may not notice until the neighbors show up with pitch forks and still may not realize why the neighbors are there and point the crowd to a stack of manure to be moved. The expression on their face as the first pitch fork goes in is as they say priceless.
