Mexicans appear to have elected their first left-wing leader in decades, as exit polls showed Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador winning Sunday’s presidential vote by a landslide over his business-friendly rivals.
In a tweet about the leftist populist candidate, Trump says: “I look very much forward to working with him. There is much to be done that will benefit both the United States and Mexico!”
Obrador has shown no interest in appeasinf El Don.
