In a way, this makes sense. Pramila Jayapal’s run isn’t really about the district. It’s about herself. She doesn’t live in the district, and she only jumped into the race once Brady pushed Jim McDermott out… So why not skip stuff that’s relevant to the actual people’s she’s nominally representing, if she can schmooze with donors in NYC and DC instead? Great to hear Brady Walkinshaw talk about how he will serve the 7th District as our US Congressman. The empty chair beside him was for Pramila Jayapal, but she was unable to attend because she is back on the east coast raising more out-of-state money. I’m voting for Brady because I believe he will be more effective at addressing the issues most important to his constituents here in the Puget Sound.
