Ah, the memories. We remember well, the late, late-night KIRO talk host Mike Webb commiserating with Scott Ritter about how they both were victims of “political prosecutions,” if not “persecutions.” Web was murdered with an ax, now….
Ritter, once a chief UN inspector, and a former Marine, and critic of the Iraq War had faced charges relating to alleged on-line sexual contacts made between him and police officers posing as teenage girls. The charges had been dismissed after probation. Ritter claimed he’d been victimized by the government because of his opposition to the Iraq War.

But Ritter, a married man with teenage children, did it again. He was convicted April 14d after presecutors proved in Pennsylvania that he again talked dirty to a cop posing as a teenage girl. A video of him masturbating for her was played at his trial.
There were no martyred claims of political persecution this time. He will go to prison.
