“Dr. Deborah Birx said she saw President Donald Trump presenting graphs about the coronavirus pandemic that she never made and claimed that someone either outside or inside the administration was creating a parallel set of data to show to Trump,” CNN reported on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Watch video here.
“Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert, said then-President Donald Trump used to scold him for not being ‘more positive’ about COVID-19 as the pandemic spiraled out of control nationwide … [and] recalled Trump’s repeated claims that the virus would simply “go away,” Huffington Post reports. “In his last weeks in office, former President Donald Trump … pushed the Justice Department to ask the Supreme Court to invalidate President Biden’s victory,” the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, January 23, 2021, adding, “Those efforts failed [because] his own appointees … refused to file … a legally baseless lawsuit in the Supreme Court … [and] threatened to resign en masse.” Read story here.
We already know Trump focused all his time and energy on his obsession with overthrowing the election results while the nation’s Covid-19 death toll climbed above 400,000. CNN catalogs some of his other abuses of power here.
The ugly fact behind all this is that Trump and his followers have discarded civilized norms. A thread of criminality runs through it all. In this respect, Trumpism is no different from Communism or Nazism. The odium of those ideologies flows from the fact they impose themselves on others by force. That’s also what we see in the armed private militias loyal to Trump, the threats against public officials, and the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol and the police guarding it.
I don’t care what their grievances are, any more than I cared why the communists I fought in Vietnam shot at me. By attacking our democracy, in violation of the rights of their fellow Americans, they have made themselves outlaws. They attacked us. The time for conversation is over; it’s time to defend ourselves against this poisonous type of politics.
We do not know nor is there any way of knowing if Trump had concentrated on Corvid 19 if one death would have been prevented. As we don’t know if the first impeachment prevented the President from fully implementing the powers of the Federal government to prevent Corvid 19 from entering the United States. It is an epidemic something that used to be considered an at of god or of nature something not preventable or controllable by government. That the best the Government can do is like the Monty Python scene of bring out your dead. It is one event that brings King and pauper together in woe.
All this talk about Trump leading this supposed insurrection overlooks a lot of facts. One of which is Trump was the President and in charge of the military. Now any dictator in any tin hat dictatorship sends in the military to seize the legislature and to turn them, arrest the members and perhaps some or all. The Capitol police do not work for Trump, they work for Congress or at least the House ans Senate Sergeant in Arms and would defend the Congress from the army, but the Capitol police asked for reinforcement, and that was not blocked by Trump. Trump apparently has never read the Dictators little green or red book.
Obviously what George Washington did after the Whiskey Rebellion would be utterly foreign to you. Perhaps the thought that you don’t have to live next to the Vietnamese who shot at you or live with them and their kin now or 25 years from now makes you blind all of us will live with the folks who were in a mob in the Capital. BLM ANTIFA now and the Black Panthers, Latino Young Lords. The class of the people have a lot in common with BLM and they are all deplorables to the ruling class and they scare the ruling class good. Her you are carrying the elites water.

I’m not in a federal prison, so I won’t be living with them. You seem to think they should get off scot free. I don’t. They’re criminals. Violently attacking the seat of our government and threatening the lives of members of Congress should ruin their lives. The ziptie guy is a terrorist who should get life in ADX. Beating a cop to death with a fire extinguisher deserves the death penalty. The Whiskey Rebellion isn’t comparable. It was a tax protest, not a seditious attempt to deny other Americans their electoral rights, and didn’t result in loss of lives.
