Do you know where this poorly rated campus is?
The American idea of higher education is very different than world standards. In the US it is very difficult to determine the difference between a university degree and a trade school certification. Bad examples include the Western Governor’s University, discussed elsewhere in TA as a money making fraud that abuses the idea of being non profit by giving its founders huge salaries and board memberships.
I have no reason to worry about fraud in the case of HU. This campus, apparently founded by very serious local people in a rural part of its state, may be a source of local pride. But its outcomes and lack of a university level faculty are obvious. I would like to learn more.
US News and World Report listed this campus among the worst colleges in the US. 84.1% graduate but only 4% do that over 4 years. And then, the graduates earn a median six-year salary of $35,900. Now for the bad news: only 4% of the students graduate on time and 11.8% of borrowers default on their debt. You’ll have access to state and federal financial aid options found at any public university, including grants, work study and student loans. You’ll also be eligible for additional private aid only available to Heritage students! Plus, Heritage offers other aid options to help pay for additional expenses such as books, child care and transportation. With so many financial aid options, your total cost could end up paying less than another 4-year school.

Toppenish, Washington. Appears it is even accredited. though it does tend to serve rural areas where the medium income is less.
The question shouold be whether HU is a “university?”
