Xfinity support is worthless. Is Comcast censored?

Yesterday I spent FOUR hours trying to get through to anyone because I could not connect to my own website. THE-Ave.US.

The problem is that I can not connect to my own website! Whenever I try to via Xfinity I get times out. I connect with no issues if I use a VPN as a means of getting back into Omegle or something like t-mobile. A web trace shows that the fault is in Comcast server here in Seattle. So if I were to use the likes of a Virtual Private Network like this vpn Canada, to change my internet addresses to that of another country, I can once again load my webpage. So, why?

The reps insist this is impossible cuz Comcast does not censor. Perhaps, but my experience says something in their servers is blocking me from accessing my own site! Moreover, while this is now specific to my site, I have a number of times found that certain sites became very hard to access via Comcast. If Comcast is not doing the blocking, they ought to function as a public utility under the First Amendment ensure unfettered access.

Restrictions on the web can come from anyplace. As an example, I found I could not access China through my Comcast address. The same was true for some (gasp) porn sites. That is why I bought a VPN! You should also think about getting the best vpn in canada if you encounter similar problems.

But this issue with MY WEBSITE is not coming from China. The issue is coming from Comcast’s servers in Seattle!

trace of web data during inability to connect to THE-Ave.US

First I dealt with the Xfinity robot .. the one that insists it can fix things by rebooting my modem. GFL with that. When the robot finishes it says great now it is fixed. Of course, this does not work but the menu gives no way of going on. Worse it just redoes this over and over again.

I did, after much effort get to talk to humans. The way I did this was via link that gets Comcast ti to call you back. OK? Yeh BUT the Comcast support folks are not allowed to receive or send email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..More GFL. I had done a webtrace and wanted to forward them a screenshot showing where the block is happening (three Seattle servers time out whenever I try to connect to my site).
Most of the techs I speak with (none seem by accent to be American) are at best semi literate about the internet. The fact that I can connect via T mobile or via a VPN did not stop them insisting that the fault must be in my browser. GFL

The best I could find were the folks who respond when I connected via a website that offered call backs. Spoke with two reps. Again, they were not allowed to send or receive emails. I asked if I could sen the webtrace data from a screen shot but they are not allowed to get emial! GFL!

Both said they would call me back. Neither has! I’m now contemplating changing ISP’s and also web hosting services completely to never (hopefully) have this problem again! After all, the Future of webhosting starts now only at www.hostiserver.com.
