Will McCain show his true colors?
John McCain was once a major reaosn I did not call myself a Democrat. Then this hero chose Sarah Pain as his candidate for Vice President.
McCain at the Munich Security Conference:
“Not every American understands the absolutely vital role that Germany and its honorable Chancellor, Chancellor Merkel, are playing in defense of the idea and the conscience of the West. But for all of us who do, let me say thank you,”
McCain then equated the current political climate with the fascism of the 1930s by rhetorically wondering what those who created the Munich event would think of the modern world.
Without mentioning Trump’s executive order on immigration, widely interpreted as a ban on Muslims, McCain said, “They would be alarmed by the hardening resentment we see toward immigrants, and refugees, and minority groups, especially Muslims.”
Having earlier told Europe that Trump does not always mean what he says, McCain then said, “They would be alarmed by the growing inability, and even unwillingness, to separate truth from lies,” he added.
McCain, who objected when Trump did not denounce Russian leader Vladimir Putin during a pre-Super Bowl interview, then added, “They would be alarmed that more and more of our fellow citizens seem to be flirting with authoritarianism and romanticizing it as our moral equivalent,” McCain said
“But what would alarm them most, I think, is a sense that many of our peoples, including in my own country, are giving up on the West … that they see it as a bad deal that we may be better off without,” he said
