I have been skeptical that we even need an elected Secretary of State. It is a regulatory position, why not appoint a non-partisan?
Then I met Tina Podlodowski. She is a former Microsoft executive and member of the Seattle City Council.
Tina is running against the only Republican elected to a statewide office anywhere on the West Coast. More importantly she wants to redefine the job, tasking it with being an even handed effort to get out the vote.
