Carly Fiorina, who has shot up in GOP presidential polls after coming on forcefully in the first two debates, seems to have a lying problem. Fiorina created a firestorm after referring in debate to a fetus video that doesn’t exist. Now, she’s been caught padding her thin resume with claims that she chaired a foundation that doesn’t exist, either. And, of course, she’s also promoting the lies being used in the orchestrated GOP assault against health care provider Planned Parenthood.
There are lots of other things wrong with the whole notion of nominating this unqualified dilettante for America’s highest office — for example, her naive assertion that she would refuse to negotiate with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and bend him to her will by rattling sabers instead … one of the surest ways to start World War 3 that I can imagine. In just a few weeks, Fiorina has morphed from irrelevancy to being dangerous.
Her speaking style is reminiscent of Sarah Palin’s: Snarky, patronizing, and know-it-all. Most of us outgrew that by the time we graduated from junior high school. These aren’t desirable qualities for any job, but for POTUS, they should be disqualifying. And that’s even before being faced with the issue of her dishonesty. The sooner she’s eliminated from the GOP lineup, the better.
