Ex-cop pleads guilty to Capitol riot charges

Jacob Fracker, an ex-cop and National Guardsman from Virginia, pleaded guilty to a felony on Friday, March 18, 2022, NBC News reported here.

Fracker admitted he and a co-worker, Thomas Robertson, “stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 in an attempt to block the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential victory,” NBC News said, adding they brought “tactical gear, including gas masks, to D.C. and forcibly storm[ed] past police to gain access to the Capitol.”

Robertson is awaiting trial, and Fracker agreed to testify against him. Both were fired by the police department after being arrested on the federal charges.

Prosecutors say Fracker posted on Facebook, “sorry I hate freedom? Sorry I fought hard for it and lost friends for it?” and Robertson wrote, “being disenfranchised by fraud is my hard line.”

They couldn’t be more wrong.

When Fracker invaded the Capitol, he wasn’t fighting for freedom, he was trying to overthrow it. Yours and mine. Our freedom to elect our government, rather than have one imposed on us by force and violence, as these gentlemen tried to do.

If Robertson voted, he wasn’t disenfranchised. Losing an election isn’t disenfranchisement. Voter suppression is; legislatures overturning the voters is.

One good thing to come out of this is these subversives aren’t cops anymore. They’re the last people you want going around with a badge and gun, exercising state authority. They’ve shown they can’t be trusted to respect and protect our freedom.
