President Kim Il Sung is the most prominent great man in the 20th century and eternal sun of humankind, who was possessed of unparalleled broad magnanimity.
That’s why everyone who met the President respected him as his or her teacher and elder statesman of the world.
It can be well proved by a merely fact that many figures and media of the world highly praised the President during his visit to Yugoslavia in the 1980s. At that time, over 40 heads of state and government, some 200 delegations and political and public figures of different countries visited Yugoslavia as it had been influential in the non-aligned movement (NAM). But who attracted the universal attention was the President.
The French paper Le Monde reported that the arrival of President Kim Il Sung, active supporter of the NAM, drew special attention and the New York Times edited the image of the President ahead of photos on the arrival of other heads of state in Yugoslavia. And the Yugoslavian leadership held a central seat for the President in functions attended by many heads of state of the East and the West.
After receiving the news, a Japanese correspondent said with deep emotion that the President’s visit to Yugoslavia caused a great sensation in the world, it was a really marvelous event and he is a great man and the pride of Asia.
The executive secretary of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the then League of Communists of Yugoslavia said in admiration that it came as a shock to him to see many heads of state lining themselves to meet President Kim Il Sung and it made him keenly feel the President was a great leader enjoying boundless respect from all people.
