Is this real?
SNOPES suggests it is not and that the source is satitical.
However. I note that if it is not Cruz, someone sure does a great impersonation of him. Faking audio is a lot more difficult than faking an image with Photoshop. Also, it is surprising that SNOPES says nothing about anyone who was at the meeting denying that the clip is correct.
Moreover, at least as I hear it Cruz seems to be saying “Nigra” rather than “Nigger.” .. The former is pretty common parlance in the South today amongst folks who identify as “white.”
Given the prominence, I was surprised not to see some sort of denial on the YOUTUBE site.
