Today is Memorial Day.
I have been working through my Dad’s pictures to try and see where he was after coming onto Buchenwald on April 9. One important place may be Ettinghausen. He mentioned a town where he acted as Governor and my son thinks that town’s name began with an E. I have written to the town because they claim to to have records from that period.
The legend from the back of the print says “Aug 1945.” I am not sure what to make of “Guess who cut my C.P.”
