A strange, but predictable, scene unfolded outside the Miami courthouse where Donald Trump was arraigned in the Mar-a-Lago documents case on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
As Miami Mayor Francis Suarez pushed his way through pro-Trump demonstrators, catcalls rang out: “We’ve got a swamp monster, folks. Your time’s coming, baby! The swamp’s coming down!” (Read story and watch video here.)
Suarez, a conservative Republican who’s spoken out against Trump’s indictment, complained the mob wasn’t being fair.
Since when are mobs “fair”? Nobody is safe from a mob, not even the mob itself, like a snake that eats its own tail.
