Before being murdered last fall, Rasheem Carter, 25, went to the police in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
He’d told his mother that “three truckloads of white guys [were] trying to kill him,” so she told him to seek police protection.
When, in February 2023, his dismembered remains were found in woods the cops said there was no indication of foul play. The implication is he cut off his head, chopped up his body, and scattered the pieces himself.
The cops informed Carter’s family he was dead via email. Their attorney says “they haven’t been told any other information, been offered a meeting with officials, or received his remains.” (See story here.)
