Erick Aguirre (mugshot, right), 29, met his date at a Houston restaurant called Rodeo Goat, which I guess is a Texas thing (see menu and goat pictures here).
They arrived in their own cars, and a guy in the parking lot told them he was the parking attendant, and they had to pay $20 to park. At this point, Aguirre should’ve been suspicious, because what burger joint charges for parking? But he handed over $40.
After being seated in the restaurant, Aguirre learned from a waiter that he’d just been scammed by a fake parking attendant. So he excused himself, got up, went out into the parking lot, killed the scammer, then came back in and told his date “everything’s fine.”
After police looking for the gunman released surveillance video of the couple, the girl contacted the cops and turned him in.
I surmise she wasn’t impressed by their date. He isn’t available anymore, anyway. He has a date with a court and then the Texas Department of Corrections.
