I’ll never take Tomi Lahren seriously, and you shouldn’t either.
Not because she’s a conservative commentator, or once worked for OANN and now works for Fox, neither of which is a reputable media source.
The rap on her is she’s an intellectual lightweight; and worse, lacks a moral compass. Recanting Trumpism at this stage doesn’t change that. The time to do that was after the Capitol riot, if not sooner; doing it now is too little, too late, to salvage her reputation.
She’s recanting, alright. “Fox’s Tomi Lahren appears to be abandoning Donald Trump,” Raw Story reported on Sunday, November 13, 2022, adding, “Lahren spent most of her early career promoting Trump and the MAGA philosophy, but she appears to be taking a massive turn away” (read story here), which merely makes her look like an opportunist trying to save her career from going down with Trump’s sinking ship.
I first saw her as a panelist on CNN, as I recall, and my first impression was as a twit who didn’t know what she was talking about. Now “twit” doesn’t cover it, because she can’t plead ignorance anymore. She knows as well as you and I what Trump did while president, and after the 020 election.
Supporting him this long is inexcusable, and abandoning him only because his handpicked candidates lost the 2022 elections for the GOP merely demonstrates a lack of loyalty in addition to a lack of integrity. People like that end up with no friends.
Tomi, you can keep talking, but I’m not listening. I don’t have time for people like you.
