They’d have to find someone to blame, of course.
Two weeks ago, MAGA organizers held a rally at the U.S. Capitol grounds to show support for Jan. 6 rioters, but only a few dozen people showed up. They were characters like the Proud Boy who said he can’t see treating people like “vicious criminals” merely because they attempted to beat a police officer with a metal bat. (See story here.)
Disappointed by that turnout, they apparently figured the problem was holding it on a Saturday, so they held the next one on a Friday afternoon. This time, only 27 people showed up, including 2 paid low-rent security guards. (See story here and photo below.)
“Right-wing speaker and lawyer Deborah Weiss blamed the organizers for scheduling the event on a sunny Friday afternoon,” Daily Beast said. That’s not her entire list of scapegoats, but it’s the only one that merits mention here.
I have my own theory. I wasn’t there, but maybe people are growing tired of these idiots?
