“I need your help,” he says here. “I am puzzled. I would like to understand what made Michael Flynn go batcrap crazy.”
He proceeds to offer specific examples of Flynn’s detachment from reality. I’ll skip them; follow the link above to the ghoulish details. He also describes how Flynn’s decline was gradual and began years ago.
Corn points out it’s not unusual for high-ranking military figures to go “barmy or extremist,” and lists a number of them. We know (or at least suspect) some of our diplomats have been bombarded with microwaves by “hostile foreign powers;” are those same malevolent actors sneaking something into the drinks at the generals’ club?
He floats some other theories (e.g., profit motive, but points out there are easier ways to make a lot of bucks), but in the end, gives us no answer. All he says is, “The case of Michael Flynn is mysterious. Like believers of conspiracy theories, I want to know the real answer.” So if you know, please tell him.
