“Hiking” video

Nice views, but the sound track could use fewer “Oh my God!”s and “Thank God!”s.

If you’re going to do this kind of stuff, take a climbing rope, and belay wherever a fall would be a serious imposition on the local Search & Rescue crews.  Otherwise, turn back while you still can. You’re probably off-route, and if you keep going you may find yourself in a cul-de-sac, unable to finish the climb or safely climb back down.

It’s important for hikers to realize that climbing up is easier than climbing down, and if you push too far without proper gear, you could get stuck, or injured or killed by trying to go back the way you came. It has happened. At least these hikers wore helmets when they got up on technical terrain, and knew to flee from the peaks when storm clouds began moving in.
