Phoenix P.D. brass gave MAGA coins to cops who shot protesters in testicles

“Phoenix’s city manager disciplined a slew of police officers, including the department’s chief, for rewarding officers for shooting protesters in the groin last summer as demonstrations over George Floyd’s murder erupted,” the Daily Beast reported on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

“Officers created a trophy in the form of a coin emblazoned with a protester being shot with a pepper ball in the testicles. The coin was embossed with the phrases ‘Making America Great Again One Nut at a Time’ and ‘Good Night Left Nut.’ Supervising officers gave the coins to their subordinates both on and off duty,” the Daily Beast said (read story here).

An investigation “found that supervisors had given the coin as gifts to subordinates within the department, and some of those coins were bought or exchanged while on duty,” a Phoenix TV station reported (story here).

Meanwhile, 23 people arrested by Phoenix cops on allegedly “unfounded felony rioting charges” have filed a federal class action lawsuit against the city, police chief, and other police department employees. The lawsuit contends the cops indiscriminately rounded up innocent bystanders and slapped them with fabricated felony charges that were later dismissed by a judge for lack of probable cause.
