On our system, accountability for elected officials’ poor judgment occurs at the ballot box. DeSantis has to stand for re-election in 2022, and he hopes to run for president in 2024. It’s up to Florida’s voters whether to accept his leadership for their state. It may be up to all of us whether he leads our nation.
If it were up to me, I’d say “no.” Actually, “hell no!”
