St. Louis gun wavers plead guilty

Update: Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis attorney couple who brandished guns at Black Lives Matter protesters peacefully walking past their home, pleaded guilty to misdemeanors and will pay fines, CNN reported on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

They also will surrender the guns they used to threaten the protesters, CNN said.

Trump showcased the McCloskeys at a State of the Union speech, and Mark McCloskey is now trying to parlay his notoriety into a political career with a longshot run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO).

McCloskey,  running as a Republican in a crowded primary field dominated by big political names, has expressed no contrition for his criminal behavior, and lately has been calling Democratic Senators a “mob.” That silliness, of course, is just campaign attention-seeking.

So, too, is mugging for the camera with guns (photo above).
