This is hard to follow, but as nearly as I can make out, the girl was drunk, the deputy had sex with her in a public park, and when he later ran for state representative his sheriff boss thought it was so important a Republican win that he decided the entire incident was fabricated by a town police chief who was mad at the deputy for not endorsing his wife who was running for county assessor. Nah. Small towns are different. There’s no fight like a family fight, and small town fights are the next closest thing.
