Florida business owner arrested for Capitol Riot fire extinguisher assault

Robert Scott Palmer, 53 (photos), who owns and manages a cleaning and restoration business in Clearwater, Florida, has been arrested for his actions in the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. He now faces multiple charges (read story here).

Palmer allegedly went to extra lengths to attack police officers defending the Capitol against the violent Trump-incited mob.

He was identified by #SeditionHunters, a community of amateur sleuths who work online to identify insurrectionists and report them to the FBI. The group also identified a retired firefighter from Pennsylvania who threw a fire extinguisher at Capitol police.

He’s now facing multiple federal charges. His attorney says he’s hoping to “resolve it short of trial” with a plea agreement “that does not include incarceration.” What nonsense. He attacked cops. He deserves to go to prison.
