“The Gael,” by Scottish songwriter Dougie MacLean, is best known as the theme music of the film “The Last of the Mohicans.” It’s popular with musicians and many renditions can be found on YouTube; I like this one because it’s well-played, with plenty of atmosphere, and without pretension. The costuming is cool, too.
