More dolphins run aground at Cape Cod than almost anywhere, partly because of the wide tidal range there. In August 2020, 45 dolphins beached in a single day. It’s so common the area has a dolphin rescue team, and they’ve learned how to increase the survival rate from under 15% to nearly 80%.
