An April Fools Day Short Story

“Dear Dr. Teller,

The explosion in Montana last week that piqued your curiosity was an accident. A farmer acquaintance of mine wanted to try out his home-made anti-matter dynamite on some tree stumps. When doing his calculations, he misplaced a decimal point, and used too much anti-matter. I can assure you this won’t happen again. All the stumps are gone. Unfortunately he’s gone, too, and so is his formula. Signed, A Friend of the Farmer”
