A Facebook Friends Who Calls Me a Communist When I Equate His Trumpism with Fascism
You say my criticisms of your posts .. quoting Trump or Fox .. are unfair because I use “shock and awe” tactics.
My tactics has always been to rely on facts.
You lie, you put words in other mouths, you quote from far right sites, you call good people commie without even knowing what communism is, carry a gun because you fear mysterious others, and you show unflinching support for a leader who has shown no morals and who has a willingness to exploit racism.
Then you object when I call that fascism???? .
Here is my perspective ..
I made an earnest effort for quite a while to reach out to you, to have real discussions over issues where we could agree to disagree. I suggested rational sources you might read from The Economist to the Wall Street Journal and Forbes. Your response was to wave red flags no different then those waved by your Don John or his predecessor McCarthy or the Americans who supported il Duce and der Führer.
My wife and I were even planning to join you for dinner until I learned you might come with a gun.
I grew up in a community full of people like you. Many of them were good people, molded by horrible leaders like Father Coughlin , Pope Pious XII, or our own Cardinal Cushing. My life was threatened several times. I was beaten twice, once by a teacher. Nonetheless learned to like some of those folks and I believe they learned to like me.
