Cohen paid $50,000 to ‘a technology company’ for secret work for Trump’s campaign

“Buried in the legal documents released Tuesday as part of Cohen’s guilty plea … was a new, previously unreported payment Cohen made in 2016 to help Trump: $50,000 for work that prosecutors say Cohen ‘solicited from a technology company during and in connection with the campaign,'” CNBC reported Thursday night, adding that “the money may not have been paid out through traditional financial channels.” Read story here.

At this point, we don’t know who that company was, or what services they performed. But you can be damn sure this wasn’t a legitimate campaign expense. Here’s a guess: Hackers. We’ll probably find out in due course.
