GOP leader says God commanded him to strangle and stab his mother’s dog

Todd Kincannon, who briefly served as executive director and general counsel of the South Carolina Republican Party, has been arrested and charged with animal abuse for choking and stabbing his mother’s beagle to death.

“Kincannon reportedly told police he killed the dog because he ‘got a command from God to do it,’ and that he was the ‘second coming of Christ.’ He also stated that ‘every 1,000 years Jesus needs a sacrifice and blood must be spilt,’ the report said.”

Kincannon, 37, was charged with domestic violence in 2015 for threatening to kill his wife; and both his attorney’s license and Twitter account have been suspended. Read story here and here.
