In the midst of the Trump Chaos, the media seem uninterested in the body of an African American woman found in New York’s Hudson River.
Sheila Abdus-Salaam wA the United States’ first ever female Muslim judge. Her body was found Wednesday afternoon in the Hudson River according to a Wednesday New York Post report.
Justice Abdus-Salaam served as an associate judge on the New York Court of Appeals. She was also the first African-American woman to serve on New York’s top court.
She was 65. The NY Post reported that the judge had been reported missing earlier in the day. The newspaper reports that there were no visible signs of trauma or physical injuries suggesting foul play.
Police are still investigating.
