trump-tillerson-2Rex Wayne Tillerson (born March 23, 1952) is an American businessman and is the chairman, president, and CEO of Exxon Mobil Corporation, the fifth largest company by market capitalization.[3][4] He is expected to be named Secretary of State by President-elect Donald Trump tomorrow.

Tillerson is a trustee for the American Petroleum Institute.  In 2011, on behalf of ExxonMobil, Tillerson signed an agreement with Russia for drilling in the Arctic that could be valued up to $300 billion.[12] The agreement has not able to be carried out due to sanctions enacted against Russia. In 2013, Tillerson was awarded the Order of Friendship by Vladimir Putin after opposing sanctions against the Russians.
