Humans Were Likely Boinking Neanderthals Earlier Than We Thought
For the last decade or so science has believed that the interbreeding between humans and Neanders was going on around 50,000 to 60,000 years ago. Now DNA from a Neanderthal in a Russian cave shows evidence of human DNA! The means that Neanderthals and modern humans were mating 100,000 years ago. From Reuters
The 100.000 year date fascinates me because three other phenomena date to that era:
- A Bottleneck ..Genetic analysis telsl us that only 2000 or so ancestors of all modern humans, perhaps these were Adam and Eve?
- Human Language .. linguistic analysis suggests that human language began about that time.
- Art and Thought .. archaeology suggests that art, the best evidence for human thought, began sometime after 60.000 years ago … with art found in caves of Europe and remains of art found in ancient migrations of humans through New Guinea.
So, could it be that the Torah is almost correct? Modern humans … people who looked like us ….evolved about 200,000 years ago, but “we” the speaking, spear throwing, art making, talkers still seem not to have evolved until sometime later. People have suggested this might have been due to a new mutation or a virus?
Maybe the magical event was neither of these possibilities …. maybe we began with breeding, interbreeding … a good fuck? Perhaps Eve was a Neanderthal lady and Adam a modern human?
There is a problem with the great fuck hypothesis. Neander seems to have evolved from a common ancestor, “habilus,” in Europe before modern humans evolved in Africa.
This suggests that 100,000 years ago some modern human, lets call him Adam, left Africa, raided a Neanderthal tribe. perhaps in what is today Israel/Palestine. and stole Eve. Adam took Eve back to Africa, they bred .. Cain and Abel. The kids, blessed by hybrid genes could speak! Of course they fought but Cain went on to breed with loverly African ladies … the giants of the Torah. These superior kids were out ancestors.
God bless.
Very interesting, but not as significant as you are trying to make it.
“Research showing that our species interbred with Neanderthals some 100,000 years ago is providing intriguing evidence that Homo sapiens ventured out of Africa much earlier than previously thought, although the foray appears to have fizzled”
“Their journey appears to have been what researchers called a failed dispersal from Africa, with no descendants going on to colonize Europe, Asia and points beyond.”
“We don’t know what happened to them. It seems likely that this population went extinct, either by environmental changes or maybe direct competition with Neanderthals,” Kuhlwilm said.”
Actually my suggestion is different. Not that these Namder were more dispersed but the ancestors of modern humans came from this population. This suggests that the Euro Asians may have originated a lot earlier than the origins of speaking humans.
