George Stam Finds The First Civilized Humans

UW PROF FINDS THE MINOANS

Archaeologists found the remains of farmers living in Crete by around 9,000 years ago.  The civilization these people created, Minos, was among the the worlds first “high” civilization.  Legends of Minos formed the basis for early Greek myths .. from the Minotaur to Atlantis.  Minos’s civilization seeded the more military society of Mycenea and may, through the Hyksos of Egypt, also have been the root source of  the Hebrews.

Now,  George Stamatoyannopoulos, a UW professor, has assembled DNA from  Cretans who lived on the island 4,900 and 3,800 years ago. The samples included DNA that was unique to Minoans as well as DNA common found in modern, Europeans but no sequences   similar to those of present-day African populations.

So .. the Minoans originated not in Africa but from the the Middle East and Turkey.  so these could be the ancestors of the Minoans.  Of course DNA is not the same as ideas.  The geneticists must bow to the “soft” sciences,. semantics, archaelogy, anthropology to answer the question of the origin of the ideas that drove Minoan civilization.
