70 Years Ago, The Mass Internment Of Japanese Americans Was Upheld By The Supreme Court

Police Officer Standing Looking Away SearchingSo are Syrians today’s Japs?

My take on this may be a bit different.  Withut the benefit of looking back, my guess is that the Roosevelt administration made the correct decision.  The camps may not have been the right apaprach but certainly a strenuous effort at security was wide.

HOWEVER, the major issue about 42 is not the internment but the obvious racism.  I eas in my forst year os life and growing up in a pro Nazi neighborhood of Boston.  My next door neighbor was a leader in the Anerican Bund.  He was Irish, not Japanese.

Bigotry is American.
