Doctors get special privileges. At least, one accused sexual predator doctor does. A California doctor working at a free clinic for poor people, who repeatedly penetrated unconscious patients and was caught with child porn, got one year of house arrest and five years of probation for these crimes. Who’s the judge, his sister? No, this ridiculous sentence apparently resulted from a plea bargain devised to spare the victims from the trauma of a trial. That’s quite a legal strategy, to get off by traumatizing your victims beyond human endurance. Somehow, it doesn’t seem quite right. At least this swine has to register as a sex offender.
