Asked in Wednesday’s debate to pick a woman for the $10 bill, Jeb! Bush went with Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s Reagan-era conservative prime minister. What, he couldn’t think of an American? If he’s the GOP nominee, I can already imagine the Democratic attack ads:
“Jeb Bush can’t think of a single American woman who deserves to be on our currency. Not Rosa Parks. Not Harriet Tubman. Not Clara Barton. Not Eleanor Roosevelt. Nor the American housewife. No one.”
That should go over real well with the roughly 50% of American voters who are female.
