The Earth’s CO2 levels have reached 400 parts per million globally for the first month since record keeping began.
The Earth is already dealing with rising seas, storms of monumental proportions, wildfires, and extreme weather all caused by global warming. As CO2 levels increase, what else can we expect. Humans did not exist the last time that COs levels were this high. We need to come together and do what is necessary to reverse this trend. The sad and scary reality is that humans do not seem to care.
“This marks the fact that humans burning fossil fuels have caused global carbon dioxide concentrations to rise more than 120 parts per million since pre-industrial times,” added Tans. “Half of that rise has occurred since 1980.”
