Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is set to sign into law a measure that allows businesses to turn away gay and lesbian customers in the name of “religious freedom.” — CBS News
I’m not gay, but I oppose injustice, wherever it rears its ugly head. Discrimination is evil; and when it’s committed in God’s name, it’s doubly evil. But commercial and social exclusion cuts both ways. If Indiana businesses don’t want to serve customers with different chromosomes, then we don’t have to buy from their businesses. (For example, when you buy a used book through Amazon, or items from an eBay seller.) So, the next time someone says they’re from Indiana, just say “sorry, but I’m not doing business with you,” and make sure they know why.

Please don’t associate all Indiana people or businesses with this. There are tens of thousands of us that vehemently oppose this bill, including the mayor of indianapolis, our convention hall, and many of our local businesses. Any business opposed to this is part of a community called Open To Serve. Please ask any indiana business if they are open to serve before purchasing. If not, then boycott the hell out of them. But don’t hold all of us accountable for our disgraceful governor.
I’m sorry Indiana, but the message this sends is horrific. I will not be attending GEN CON this year.
Unless you are fighting for right in your state, you are complicit in its evils.
