Yeah, this is a great example of the cynicism around incremental change that really stifles the Liberty Movement. Yes, the state incentives bad behavior. Yes, the citizenry tends to give deference to state employees. But you can't tell me you haven't seen things change. 5 years ago, there wasn't this level of public discourse over police abuse. Regular people weren't talking about how out of control police are. There wasn't a "Cop Block" and its copy cats. Yes, there will be abuses when/if the cameras get implemented, but the fact that they have been demanded is a huge step in the first place. Here is my wild-eyed hope: juries will begin to expect more than police testimony to convict someone. I don't expect it to be fast and I don't expect it to be even close to perfect, but one does no good for the Liberty Movement to bad mouth every step in the right direction.
