Commentary by Halstead:
Hi, ..
St. Paul the Krugman’s OpEd today suggests that climate skepticism
stems less from economic opposition [‘industries fight their
replacement’] than from ‘ideology and anti-intellectualism’.
I wonder.
As it seems to me, there are two types of decent-people climate
skeptics: credentialed meteorologists who have seen too many of their
forecasts gone bust [‘If we can’t forecast tomorrow, how can we expect
to forecast a century?’], and salt-of-the-earth types living where
they see the full sky every day, who experience it as so wonderfully
vast that damage from petty humans seems improbable.
And then there are the Koch brothers.
